On most Rome private cart tours, private means the cart is yours — not that the itinerary changes. Standard private tours follow the operator’s usual loop with nobody else in the vehicle.

Who should

Repeat visitors. Second or third trip, the standard loop already done, and a list of things you never got to.

Anyone with a specific interest that no general tour serves — a period, an architect, a neighbourhood, a family connection, the Aventine keyhole and the Janiculum in one morning.

Groups who already know what they want to see, where the four hours are spent on longer stops rather than a longer list. That distinction is what makes the format work.

What you can and cannot add
